It should come as no surprise that watermelon is a negative calorie food. It has a very large water content. Watermelon also contains a good amount of vitamins A and C, plus several antioxidants. And yes, it is true; watermelons are technically berries. Incidentally, it makes no difference if the watermelons are seeded or seedless, they are still good for you. The GLI for watermelon is 3.
Good to know about watermelon….tried it, but probably wouldn’t eat regularly
We buy several every year and sometimes have watermelon with ice cream or make a fruit bowl with different kinds of melons.
My family always does fruit bowls with different melons…I never ate it myself though….lots of healthy fruits out there
Watermelon always reminds me of the 4th of July. Love it.
We like to take a watermelon out with us when we go camping. We can make a mess and it is simple to clean up. The squirrels love the rinds, too. lol
