At the wine industry exhibits at the Glenn Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, N.Y. in the Fingerlakes they had some original and rare items. This large brass stencil was used by the wine companies to mark the end of crates of grapes and wine products. This first one is Pleasant Valley Wine Company which is also known as Great Western. They still have a plant you can tour and do wine tasting in the Hammondsport area. The stencil is from Rheims, N.Y..
It sounds like a place worth checking out one day! Thank you
good
Is this one of those places where you get to taste different wines out there Jess? If it is it’ll probably be a good experience for me but I’m not much of a drinker. LMBO!
