The story of the worm and the strawberry

The earthworm is beneficial to the plants in the garden because the critter produces the so called vermicompost which is the fertile soil that is the waste matter of the earthworm. That is the reason why I would get earthworms when I would prepare a seed bed.

When the strawberry plants were growing I owe it to the earthworms. That was what’s on my mind. When the strawberry plants started bearing fruits there was something amiss. The earthworms were eating the fruits. It was funny but it is true. So how do I save the ripe strawberries from the earthworm? That is a different story.
