It is rare to see a strawberry plant in a tropical country that is why my strawberries are a big novelty when friends and relatives would see the pictures that I post in Facebook. They are surprised no end that I have been harvesting strawberries from time to time.
However, lately I have noticed that the plants are dying one by one. It is like getting very old with stunted new leaves and later would be wilted. One farmer said that it might be fungus but I think it is the excessive hot weather.

I always buy when it is available

My mom used to grow strawberries and wild strawberries on her balcony. They were super sweet. I’ve never tried growing them myself.
I buy them when I bake a pie which is not often.
