The lotus is very popular. It is a kind of water plant that is usually seen in a small man-made pond. The flower of the lotus is attractive and you cannot miss it in the pond. The lotus is usually an ornamental plant. Or so I thought.
When we went to Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam, that’s where I saw the lotus with the pod. In a park were some workers eating the lotus seeds that are in the pod. I got curious so I inquired. They offered me some seeds and yes, they tasted just like nuts.
