The ducklings nearby

Our neighbor has a small farm which is just a stone’s throw away from our home. Once in a while I check on what he has. I was curious with the 6 little ducklings that he had in a cage. They were freshly hatched. After a week, I came back and was surprised that the ducklings were quite big but only 5. The culprit is the rat that ate 1 of the ducklings.

That is one problem with a farm. You have to contend with the pests that would destroy the plants and would kill the livestock. I hope the 5 ducklings will grow so they can serve their purpose to the owner.
