Lying is standard for such people.
People who Can’t Do Better live in a fantasy created in their heads. Reality plays no part. They lie, they invent, and absorb the histories of other people. They might even try to absorb your identity.
This is to be expected.
These people have psychological issues and keeping them calm and yourself away from them is essential.
