The Saturday tripleheader brought some clarity to the standings in the Belarus Premier League. Some separation was made that clearly let us know which teams are really the contenders for the regular season title.
In the first match of the day, FC Minsk felt like they were hit some torpedoes in a 5-2 home loss to Torpedo BelAZ (FC Torpedo Zhodino). Valeri Gorbachik led the way for Torpedo by grabbing a hat trick. With the win, Torpedo BelAZ jumps from fourth to second place. FC Minsk is now in ninth place.
Ruh Brest and Gorodeya played to a 1-1 draw in Brest. Ruh Brest were able to secure the draw by tying up the score in the last seconds of the match off of a deflected corner kick. Ruh Brest is now in 7th place, one point ahead of 8th place Gorodeya.
Slutsk (FK Slutsksakhar) retained their first-place lead in the Belarus Premier League with a 2-1 victory on the road against Dinamo Minsk. Slutsk took the lead in the 22nd minute with an absolute laser from Dramane Salou. Slutsk added to the lead in the 52nd minute with a back-heel kick from Abdoul Gafar. That Burkina Faso connection was working for Slutsk. Afterwards, Dinamo Minsk scored a late-minute goal that they worked up the field. Nevertheless, Dinamo Minsk remain mired in 10th place.
