For those living in tropical countries, the tin roof which is more commonly known here as galvanized roofing is the most popular roofing because it is the cheapest and the easiest to install. The shingles need a professional tiler and the concrete slab is costly. But the downside of the galvanized roof is the maintenance.
The first problem would be the gutter where the water would be collected and directed to the downspout. And when the gutter develops a leak, the rain would penetrate the ceiling and would drip inside. The gutter is the most vulnerable part of the roofing systme becauese that’s where rainwater usually stays. So aside from cleaning the gutter, it has to be maintained and replaced if needed. For those with another kind of roofing, you are lucky if you have no maintenance issues.
