Maintenance of the roof

For a house with galvanized sheet for roofing, it is imperative to monitor for rusts every year. Maintenance is needed especially when leaks appear during the rainy season. When the leak is not repaired, it will  worse as the years go by. The advice is to have the roof checked by a professional every summer when repairs are usually done since there is no rain yet.

Painting the roof is not easy because the rust should first be removed. There is a fluid that can be applied to remove the rust before painting. Even the paint is already anti-rust, they say, but with my experience, after 3 years of painting the roof, the rust would start to appear. In other words, the annual check is mandatory to determine if the roof really needs to be repainted or not yet.
