Double balsam – a memory

As some of you may know balsams are slowly disappearing and what used to be something that bloomed in abundance is now nowhere to be seen. 

Same was the case with my garden. In a matter of years my garden had no balsam plants.  My brother who was a passionate gardener himself, when he heard me and how happy I would be if I got some seeds, I really do not know from whose garden he stole those seeds and gave me a few.  He had come to visit us and spent a few days with us 

On enquiry he told me that he had not stolen those seeds but was happy to see a few plants in his friend’s garden in another city. 

My brother is no more. I lost him a few years ago.
