If I recall correctly the style is called composite-painting. The close, more detailed flowers in a flurry is contrasted by the mid-field smaller blooms. The backdrop, ie, behind my tree, suggests raindrops and wind.

I have not tried this technique but it looks fascinating.
Maybe a while ago with my oldest grandson.I like the colorful colors.
