I love to watch Italian cooking shows; especially Lidia Bastianich. Not only does she teach you how to cook Italian but she also throws in a few words to help you learn how to speak Italian. There are lots of similar TV shows and food blogs where I learn about preparing Italian recipes. But Lidia was the first chef to teach me about bruschetta.
Bruschetta is basically grilled bread rubbed with garlic and usually topped with olive oil, tomatoes, and a little salt. From there you can just take off and do all kinds of variations. It can be included under the umbrella of tapas or appetizers. I included under my umbrella for Irresistible Fun Food.

Our wee people are exploring and discovering where foods come from as they choose and prepare different foods. We used our senses to smell the onion, tomato and basil as we prepared snack. #bruschetta #Italy #healthyeating @wlelc @WlhwbChamps pic.twitter.com/rD9Lybzdxj

What is better than a caprese salad?! A caprese salad on a warm French baguette! It is the perfect bite sized appetizer for any gathering. Although, you may not want to share once you try one. Recipe on the blog. Link in bio. #capresesalad #bruschetta #f52grams #nolh pic.twitter.com/ayyRPyclVP
