We have a star fruit tree that yields profusely whole year through Parrots simply love this fruit. At the time when we had that tornado the trees got chopped and new branches were seen at a low level.
When fruits started showing up on the branches at low level, parrots did not dare come to help themselves and that was the time we got quite a few of them.
Some eat the star fruit but I find it sour. This fruit has several health benefits. I picked a recipe from the net and prepared this pickle which turned out yummy.

Pickle did taste good But the fruits are sweet and sour.
This fruit is obtained in our discounts, I just have not bought it and tried it … but it is quite expensive against other fruits … I do not know if it is so good?
