Authentic people are hard to find and should be cherished when they come into your life. This post is meant as a quick guide to perhaps check where you and others are when it comes to authenticity. I try and go through this list about once a month. It helps me “keep it real” and set goals and priorities that I believe in.
Reciprocity is the practice of exchanging things with others for mutual benefit, especially privileges granted by one country or organization to another. People who are authentic practice reciprocity.
Authentic people practice personal responsibility. Another way to describe it might be “they own their actions”.
Having a strong character is another sign of an authentic person.
