The pretty flower of okra plant

In the picture is an okra plant with the yellow flower that is always getting my attention whenever I would visit the nearby farm. The yellow flower has no scent and it stays like that for only a day. Tomorrow the petals will wither and on the next day the fruit will appear. Or maybe you call okra a vegetable.

The problem with okra is that the fruit should be harvested on the right timing that it is not very young but not matured. A matured fruit is fibrous and not good to eat. The right timing is only for 2 days which means you have to  harvest the okra in 2 days otherwise it will mature and cannot be eaten.
