The Buddha figurine

Ours is a Catholic country but it is noticeable that there homes with the figurine of Buddha particularly the fat Buddha. According to our culture the fat Buddha is a symbol of abundance that a Buddha figurine in the home will attract blessings.

I actually do not believe in that because I treat it as superstition. But how can I go against the culture of our country and the people around me? Well, if the blessings come then I would say thank you to Buddha.
