The abundance of mangoes

Before the rainy season comes the season of mango is at its peak. Since there are many mango trees in our village it is common to receive a share of the harvest from left to right and right to left. Many neighbors have been giving us harvested mangoes from their tree. That’s a neighborly generosity in practice here.

For our part, we also have a mango tree but I pickle the mangoes and I give it to my relatives and friends. For the neighbors, what I give are other things particularly food items for their children.
