You have a fabulous idea pop into your head in the middle of the night. What is your next step? Mine is to get it on paper because sometimes that idea is fleeting and on the run. You might remember you had a good idea, and not remember the details. So I grab my notebook and write it down.
The next day as soon as I get up I look at the notebook. If the idea was a writing idea, I see if I still think it is worth looking into. If I am still interested I go to the computer and put in query notes.
This is all a about my process of “Do It Yourself Writing Philosophy”. I don’t follow the rules of writing what I believe others may want to read. I write what I need to say or write. It sounds sort of selfish, and still it works for me. If someone who truly knows me reads something I write, they “know” why it is something I chose to learn about and share.
If the idea is something that I feel comfortable putting in Virily I typically get and picture and something set up in drafts. I don’t want to lose inspiration and ideas because I have to take care of real life situations. It’s like putting something in a treasure chest.
