New restaurants are doomed

I pity the owners of new restaurants that came to fore in the pandemic era. In one commercial center there are 3 restaurants that were to open in March when the lockdown was imposed. After 6 months of paying rent with no business those restaurants were finally allowed to open. But dining in was prohibited so they are just focusing on the take out orders and deliveries.

The restaurant industry is in the doldrums now. If the government will not provide help then they might close shop for good and only the big ones will stay alive. I hope there would be something done for their benefit because food is an essential part of life.
