Making fertilizers on the ground

We make fertilizers out of the excess vegetables and fruit rinds. We dig a big hole where we can place the edibles that are thrown. The hole is covered by wood or anything that can give it protection. After sometime the compost pit will have the fertilizer for the plants. That is just a wait of a month or 2.

The compost pit will be attacked by ants and other insects. For protection we spray it with apple cider vinegar. That will deter the insects to feed on the edibles that should be for decaying to serve as fertilizer.
