My niece who is into a special practice of numerology and feng shui, said that the rock formation is a symbol to attract good spirits. I was surprised but it made sense. Maybe that is the reason why there are rock formation in mountains and also in seashores that are not beaches.
Making a rock formation is easy. But the figure should have substance. And since color is important so they painted the rocks with the color of gold. That would surely attract good luck and money.
