Bees and insects flock to this rose as soon as the buds open up. I imagine it must be a sweet one. I am always excited to see bees on my flowers especially after hearing so much about a declining bee population. I am happy to report that there is no shortage of bees in my yard. Bees and some insects are beneficial to the health of roses by eating pests like aphids. Bees also help other plants to reproduce by sharing pollen. They are especially attracted to single or semi double flowering roses since it is easier for them to gain access to the the stamens.
