Fruits in the forest

When I was a boy scout, I was greatly surprised to know that a mulberry can be eaten. I didn’t know that it was mulberry until our scoutmaster mentioned it. From what  I remember in the classroom, our teacher said that mulberry is the nest of the silkworm. But looking back, it was a great adventure to know the strange or exotic fruits during my scouting days.

Another fruit I discovered is Bignay. It is in the picture although the ripe ones are black. The red ones can be eaten but it is very sour. You know boys, we take advantage of whatever nature would provide. Those were my younger days.
