Fruits are ruined by continual rains

It is sad that our heavily fruiting star fruit tree has spoiled or defective fruits. It may be due to the continual rains that bacteria and insects may be feasting on the fruits. We usually have a bountiful harvest especially when there are no insects that pester the fruits. There was a time that I counted 88 ruined fruits but this time I guess it is more than a hundred maybe.

The fruit flies are the most often pest that ruins the fruits. I have tried to eradicate it but not all have vanished. There are still some left of the pests but the fruits have gone ahead. I hope there will be no more pests next fruiting season.
