It was my day to go the nearby market. When I was about to leave, our housemaid requested me to buy her bananas. I did with no question. But when I came back home I couldn’t control myself to ask her about the bananas. She confessed that there is a hype on the banana that it can help increase the body’s immunity against the potential infection of the corona virus.

Well, I guess that is the reason why the banana is once again expensive. From the usual 5 pesos per piece it is back to 10 pesos per piece. The vendors can thank the corona virus for the brisk sale of the bananas.
