When food prices increase the diners would always complain. Some smart restaurant owners have found a way of compensating for the increased prices of raw ingredients by cutting down on the quantity of the serving. When the food on the plate is served, the diner would not notice that the serving was lessened.
One restaurant manager said that lessening the amount of serving is better than increasing the price. That way, there is no effect on the daily sales unlike when there is a price increase in the food, the customers are lessened. Maybe that can also apply in the drinks especially with milk tea that is very popular here.
