Five centuries and a double century were made in Test cricket by different batsmen in this week. Virat Kohli scored a century against Bangladesh in Calcutta while BJ Watling and Mitchell Santner scored double century and century respectively in their home ground against England. David Warner and one another Australian batsman scored centuries against Pakistan. But the most striking was the Babar-e-Azam century which he scored against Australia in Brisbane. Although Pakistan lost the match, but former great cricketers are calling Babar Azam the best batsman of the future. Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting named Babar Azam the best batsman to play at the front foot and back foot. Former Pakistani captain and present Prime Minister Imran Khan greatly praised Babar Azam’s batting technique. In addition, EN Bishop, Steve Smith and many other eminent players praised Babar Azam’s batting and expressed his best wishes for the young batsman.
