The medieval fortress Rasnov is a historic monument built between 1211 and 1225 during the rule of the Teutonic Knights in Burzenland, as a part of a defense system of Transylvanian villages exposed to outside invasions. 

Inside the citadel can be found a museum with exponates of the local history, containing several sections, such as: document photocopies, weapons, tools, stamps and period objects.
