His early career in the movies and TV was discouraging to “Harry” Ford and in 1969 he took up carpentry. Four years later he landed the role as “Bob Falfa” in American Graffiti (1973). That was followed by his role as “Han Solo” in Star Wars (1977). By this time he probably gave up his job as a carpenter.
