A well know fact is that dogs should only be bathed once every three months, but the Cane Corso may need to be cleaned more frequently – about every 8 to 12 weeks – because their short coat tends to produce a distinctive “doggy” odor. Also, the large ears of the Cane Corso are prone to infection, so they need to be checked and cleaned with a cotton ball regularly. Brush the teeth at least 2 or 3 times a week to remove tartar buildup and the bacteria that lurk inside it. Daily brushing may be even better if you want to prevent gum disease and bad breath.
