Yucca Rose - My Music Album Covers (2/6)

List item

Originally, it was a larger scale painting from 2012 named Selfportrait – A Quiet Moment At Last – Acrylic on canvas (reposted with better color correction and cropped) – from my painting series Longing and Belonging, a growing series of paintings featuring myself, my precious little family and close friends in very intimate and vulnerable settings.

An edited version of the original painting was then used as artwork / album cover for my first Single Akankah Selalu Ada, which was released in March of 2013.

I still own these quite personal and (for me) very important paintings, since I want to be close to them and could never sell them.

You find the music here on Bandcamp.

  1. Oh my, I am everywhere on the net (also for my music) … but Peter just set up shops for me on Society6, Etsy and Artfinder, but I haven’t had time to populate any of those yet. Interestingly enough, I received four commissions through my LinkedIn account (clients from USA, Indonesia and Germany) … then there were three commissions through the old Niume 🙁
Most of my larger paintings however, are displayed in our Family art gallery in Jakarta and a few now also in Trier, Germany….

    • Hi, my most important pages are my Youtube, Twitter, Facebook Artist page, Behance and LinkedIn. However, when you google my name, most hits are music related and not art related, sadly…. because I don’t perform much anymore… but I started posting paintings there as well. (Reverbnation, Bandcamp etc.)

Behance Portfolios and LinkedIn are connected and important for me – I got the commissions through that – all business people. You post to LinkedIn from Behance.

Paintings are shipped locally (for me that means Indonesia or Germany – depending where I am) with frame or in a sturdy paper roll – rolled up without frame – fairly inexpensive, but you should insure it.

Clients who purchase through the art galleries (Kenin, Jakarta or in Trier, Germany) obviously pick them up themselves 🙂
