Wooden Canoes Exiting the Canadian Liftlock

The Wooden Canoes of the WCHA (Wooden Canoe Heritage Association) have made it from Trent University to the giant Liftlock here in Peterborough, Canada.  They are floating out after the lock descended way down on it’s hydraulic ram. The front gate of the lock opens downwardly instead of swinging to let the boats out. There was even a local TV news crew filming the event.
