Sunrise on the Erie Canal Brockport, NY

We are walking East on the Erie Canal Pathway in Brockport, New York towards the Park Avenue Liftbridge. This section of the Erie Canal is “original” and still used unlike the vast majority of the canal that was diverted and greatly expanded. The canal was widened in the early 1900’s to accommodate wider shipping.  Here the sun has peeked over the horizon and the Fall colors are starting to show on the trees.
