We are just about to tour into the lush gardens and beautiful trails of the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in Emmitsburg, Maryland on top of a mountain at Mount Saint Mary’s University. This Catholic site is open to the public of all creeds and religions and was free to tour. The trails and peaceful areas within were magical to see and nature was enhanced in these areas. Here was a reflection pool perhaps for inner reflection and peace. There were many areas of flowers including azaleas and especially rhododendrons around.
