Cuyahoga Valley National Park is centered on the valley between Akron and Cleveland, Ohio with the original Ohio and Erie Canal running through it. The original busy canal had many bridges that crossed the canal to let foot, animal and carriage traffic over it. This is a larger more recent bridge that is heavier and allowed more modern traffic to cross such as automobiles and trucks.
