Inside the Jones Law Office building at Appomattox

We have just seen the outside of the Jones Law office at Appomattox Court House in Virginia at the National Historic Park. It is located right on the dirt road lined by wooden fences where the confederate army laid down and stacked their arms after the signing of the surrender to General Grant.  This property was sold to a black shoemaker John Richardson shortly after the war and they lived here until 1930.  Here are some inside views of the tiny wood planked house.
