We have meandered down the pathway to the very end at the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The path takes a steep turn and goes up steps and ends at a shrine to Jesus on the Cross in a lovely setting surrounded by rhododendrons. Here we find many rolled up rhododendron leaves rolled up and made into crosses near the statue in tribute.
