Clingmans Dome, Great Smoky Mountains

While in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, you have to drive up to the highest point in the park at 6,643 feet to see Clingmans Dome.  Here you park at the lofty parking area and then hike up the last half mile the very top where they have built a gigantic concrete spiral ramp that goes in about 480 degrees and lets you get above the canopy for incredible views.
