All the Retail Markets of Delhi

Delhi is the capital of India and it is a place full of tourist spots. Whenever we go out, we are the craziest about shopping. The shopping adds to the fun, especially if it is of the local products. The retail markets in Delhi one day tour package were outstanding. I could only manage to visit 3, but I am willing to visit all, which are around 15.

The first one is Connaught Place including Janpath and Palika Bazaar. It is open from 10:00 A.M. to 80:30 P.M. it is known for interesting traditional items and many kinds of souvenirs. The best time to visit it is the evening hours. The second is Chandni Chowk which is another very famous market. It is located near Old Delhi Railway Station. Chandni Chowk is known for sarees, stationery, and silver.

Karol Bagh

It is located in central Delhi. There are shopping streets called as Ghaffar market, Bank Street, Arya Samaj, and Ajmal Khan Road. Arya Samaj is known for books. Bank Street is popular for jewelry shopping. You will find the best places for wedding shopping. Paharganj is also located in the neighborhood areas of Central Delhi just like Karol Bagh. It is on the west side of the New Delhi railway station. You may find Textile shops, jewelry and handicraft shops, etc.

Sarojini Nagar 

It is in the area near South West Delhi. If you arrive at Safdarjung Airport, it is quite close to you. There are leather export shops, 50 rupee piles, etc. Khan Market is one of the costliest retail stations. There are the Party shops, bath, body and home products, Ayurvedic products, golden, silver jewelry, luxury utensil CDs and DVDs, clothing stores, accessories, beauty products, etc.

Lajpat Nagar 

It is so big. It is divided into 4 parts. It is known for its central market in which we are also interested. The specialties of Lajpat Nagar are government and textiles.

Delhi Haat 

It is organized by Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation. The heart is a name given to temporary markets. But Delhi heart is permanent. There are some shops which are permanent and some are rotated. You will find Rosewood carvings, Sandalwood carves gems, Brassware, silk, Sandalwood carvings, fabric, beads, metal crafts, Silk fabric camel hides footwear, etc.

The location of South Extension is the neighborhood of South Delhi. It is an expensive market. It has Indian and western clothes, bags, electronics, books, jewelry, shoes, etc.

Nehru Palace 

It is also located in South Delhi. Nehru Palace has flea markets for computers, clothes and mobile accessories. The shops are also open on Sunday. Daryaganj market is located in Old Delhi, which is also called as Shahjahanabad. It has malls uniform shops, commercial shops, books, sweets, etc.

Gandhi Nagar Market

This market is inside East Delhi E in the trans-Yamuna area. It is the biggest readymade textile and garments market in Asia. There are factories along with the shops. Rajouri Garden market is in West Delhi. The Nehru market is also here. There are five shopping malls in Rajouri Garden market.

Tilak Nagar Market

This market is located in West Delhi. It is only 20 KM away from the New Delhi railway station and 17 KM from the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

There are some other retail markets also like state emporiums near Sansad Marg Hauz Khas Village market, Krishna Nagar Kalkaji main market, etc. Delhi has everything in great quantities and great qualities. So do not forget to explore these retail markets when you are in Delhi one day tour package sightseeing.
