A friend of mine has the same name as one of those semi-cult actors.
Every so often his account is flooded by whack jobs. These are usually middle aged females with no life who ‘fall in love’ with an actor. Usually, it one of those who fades into oblivion rather quickly, so if you blink, you miss him; (like a shooting star).
My friend opened his account the day gmail came into existence, (he’s a geek) and used his real name as this was going to be his official business email.
After a few years, he began to receive email from whack jobs. He gave a glance at them, and deleted as he would a ‘you won’ message.
Becoming intrigued, after the fifth, he did a search, found the actor he was being confused with, and decided to play along.
The reason I mention this, is because unless you know, for a fact, this is the email address, of someone, you might be spilling your guts to a total stranger.
These women write the most personal things to this stranger… who they think is some actor… another stranger.
