I will be honest with you that when I read the weather report on the sports search engines that the Kansas City Missouri area would have to deal with severe cold weather before the American Football Conference (AFC) Divisional Playoff Game would affect not only the conditions of the gridiron at Arrowhead Stadium which is the homefield of the Kansas City Chiefs which is considered by many sports writers as one of the toughest football stadiums for opposing teams that it would not only affect the fans who would attend the football game due to the icy road conditions but one of the Chiefs players named Jeff Allen who is a member of the Chiefs offensive line who had some trouble getting to the stadium on time due to his auto getting stuck on the road.
A homeless man named Dave Cochran who lives inside his auto was at the right place at the right time when he assisted Jeff to get his auto of the icy road that had his auto trapped which prevented him to get to Arrowhead Stadium.
Jeff wanted to reward Dave Cochran for assisting him to get his auto of the icy road and be able to drive his auto to the stadium parking lot by promising him a free ticket to the American Football Conference Championship Game against the New England Patriots next Sunday afternoon local time.
Of course the free ticket to the AFC Championship Game would have been a mute point had the Chiefs not defeated the Indianapolis Colts last Saturday afternoon.
However the Chiefs did beat the Colts by a final score of 31-13 in the AFC Divisional Championship Game which will have them try to make it to host the AFC Championship Game for the first time ever against the defending AFC Champions the New England Patriots who defeated the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC Divisional Playoffs in Foxborough Massachusetts by a final score of 41-28.
The catch was that when Jeff did offer the reward of giving away the free ticket to the Championship Game on his Twitter account, many people in the Kansas City region changed their name to “Dave” until the real Dave Cochran contacted Jeff to receive his reward from the grateful Chiefs offensive linemen this week.
Another unreported story that everyone should read. Great!
The sports shows should report these kinds of stories instead of talking about the dark side of sports injuries.
I completely agree with you.
