Super middleweight Edgar Berlanga (14-0, 14 KO’s) is the type of prospect that only comes around once every few years in the boxing world. All of his professional wins have been knockouts that have occurred in the first round. Tonight was no different in his Las Vegas debut against Eric Moon (11-3).
The reason why Berlanga knocks out his opponents so quickly is that he immediately mixes in body shots with all of his other punches. Once Moon felt that power, he was covering up on the ropes. Berlanga pushed his glove down and hit Moon with two overhand hooks to end the fight. Berlanga hits so hard that Moon was dazed as if he had went through a ten round fight.
