The last time Cassius Chaney fought, he knocked his opponent through the ropes. On Friday night in Hartford, Connecticut, Chaney (17-0, 11 KO) knocked out Santander Sligado (28-8, 22 KO) one minute and three seconds into Round 1 of their heavyweight boxing match.
With the fight in the opening minute, both fighters were getting comfortable in the ring with Chaney throwing a couple of left jabs as range-finders. However, he put everything into the straight right that came after those jabs that put Sligado out on the canvas.
With a second devastating KO in a row, Chaney will be looking to get into the mix for big fights in the heavyweight division in 2020.
