Extinct Fish at the University of Florida

This is the rare and formerly thought extinct Coelacanth fish at the University of Florida’s Natural History Museum in Gainesville, Florida. Scientists have found fossilized Coelacanth fish millions of years old in rock like mud samples and they have been officially extinct for all history until recently when a fisherman pulled up live examples. They are actually still surviving and one of the oldest type fish on record.
