Dam on Twitchell Lake Adirondacks

At one end of Twitchell Lake in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate NY, there was a small and low dam. This Dam is what makes the lake and maintains its height. The lake is near Big Moose and not far from Eagle Bay and Old Forge, NY.  The Adirondacks are just starting to go into Fall foliage here at this time of year. This photograph shows that the waterline of the lake is mostly evergreen trees.
