The Kingdom

I love being alone.  On Saturday afternoons, I enjoy sitting near a window, and looking at magazines.  I am a very visual person.  I enjoy listening to anything by the band Garbage, like I am doing now.  I recently re-watched the movie, “Stigmata.”  I hadn’t seen it since it first came out in 1998.

The message of the movie was very powerful.  If you haven’t watched the movie, stop reading this blog until you do.  I love when secrets are revealed.  They often hold wisdom that was always known, but never spoken.

That movie discusses such secrets that the Catholic Church has decided to keep hidden.  The message is that the kingdom of God is inside us, and all around us–not in buildings.  The last part is something like; if you know this deep within your heart, you will never perish.

Patricia Arquette is one of the best actors of all time.  It must have been exhausting working on that film.  The priest ain’t bad to look at either.  Power and control are evil forces.  They often will appear in many disguises.
