THE DANUBE is a mighty river!
The second longest in Europe – from the mouth of the Black Sea to the source in the Danube Eschingen on the Black Forest stretches 2850 km. It flows through Serbia 588 km. In our climate, the Drava, Tisa, Sava and Velika Morava flow into it. Of the four “brides” who enter under the auspices of the Danube, the largest is the Tisza, 965 km long. It used to have as much as 1358 kilometers, but it has been significantly shortened by numerous flow regulations. The Tisza flows through five countries – Ukraine, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary and Serbia. The Sava is the second largest – 944 km. It will pass and touch Slovenia, Croatia, BiH and Serbia.
