Great Barrier Reef between life and death … Australia
coral of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef (Great Barrier Reef) caused by unusually high sea temperatures has assumed alarming level. A process known as “coral bleaching” in which a healthy living community are replaced by empty shells of coral so scientists reportedly engulfed almost all corals hardest affected the northern part of the massive ridge whole. In this area that spans almost two thousand kilometers from the Australian city of Cairns and Papua New Guinea, the process of bleaching affected 99 percent of coral, while as many as 95 percent of coral seriously threatened.
