For the next ten days, Corinne and Burt enjoyed each other in her room at the Guest House.
Corinne always made sure that they’d be down by noon so Molly wouldn’t look for Burt.
This day, over lunch, Molly revealed today was her last day. Corinne was worried.
When she got to speak to Burt alone, he told her that Molly was going to take up a post elsewhere.
“What about us?” Corinne asked.
“Molly leaving has nothing to do with us…” he said. “In fact, I want you to move in with me.”
Corinne never felt so happy.
Molly would go away, but Burt would stay!
